https://www.danishcarefoods.com/

Description: Danish Care Foods (DCF) was formed in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in 2018 due to a nutrition initiative starting in 2013. Working closely with Institut de Recherche pour le Development (IRD) with the University of Copenhagen (CU), Department of Fisheries, Post-harvest Technology & Quality Control (DFPTQ), Cambodia and UNICEF Cambodia to develop a ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) and a ready-to-use supplementary food (RUSF) to fight undernutrition in Cambodia with the use of native fish as the main- and sustainable ingredient. The positive outcome from the initiative for a locally produce RUTF/RUSF secured the establishment of DCF. Now DCF improve the availability of locally made nutritious food products for pregnant- and lactating women and 6-23 months old children. DCF strives to ensure every child's and women's right to better nutrition and health status.

In 2018 DCF was supported by a solid grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support the supply of fish for the children in need.
